Park Inn Hotel

Park Inn by Radisson in St Helens has adopted new, energy efficient LED lighting by Allied as part of its recent refurbishments and the results couldn’t be more positive.

Before renovation, the corridors of the Park Inn Hotel were lit by fluorescent tube lighting and gave the hotel a claustrophobic feel. As the hotel corridors require 24-hour lighting, a large amount of heat and money was wasted on the old fittings. The hotel’s gym also needed of a re-vamp: the poor quality fluorescent lighting flickered and buzzed, and gave the gym a dull yellow tone.

The lighting in the Park Inn Hotel’s corridors was replaced by Allied’s Lucid range. The corridors are now brightly lit, helping improve the hotel’s feel, health and safety profile and environmental agenda.

The gym, is now fitted with Allied LED Lucid 60 panels, which mimic daylight and provide gym users with an increased lighting level and a fresher and healthier feeling facility.

The results!

Bright white energy-saving LED Lucid 24 are now fitted in all of the Park Inn Hotel’s six corridors use just 14w per hour, saving the Park Inn Hotel 46w per hour on every single fitting.

Over the course of a single year, the transition from fluorescent lights to Allied’s LED Lucid range will save the Park Inn Hotel a staggering 403 kilowatt hours and £40.30 for every single fitting.

Gym users have noticed a real difference in their experience of using the facilities. Even at night, the gym boasts natural style lighting and an increased lighting level, leading to a more pleasant experience.
